Preacher Roe in the 1952 All Stars

Preacher Roe was invited to play in five All Star games for the National League. Four of those games were while he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1952 the All Star game was called after the 5th inning due to rain. This game set the record for the shortest All Star game in history. It was a close game with players like Stan Musial, Jackie Robinson, and Roy Campanella playing for the National League and players like Yogie Bera, Hank Hauer, and Eddie Robinson playing for the American League. But the National League won over the American League 3-2. This is a photo of the players that represented the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1952 All Star game. Carl Furillo, Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Preacher Roe, and Gil Hodges.
